Rio Grande Hospital, located in Del Norte, Colorado, needs one Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform general duties pertaining to the processing of patient samples to accommodate accurate and timely laboratory testing and procedures. Responsible for accurately performing tests and reporting results in the fields of microbiology, coagulation, chemistry, hematology, transfusion medicine, serology and urinalysis. Performs duties independently with minimal supervision, operating from specific and definite direction and instructions. Communicates new material, equipment, and procedures to all members of the team. Adheres to the laboratory’s policies and procedures for instrument calibration and maintenance.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related Laboratory Sciences, AMT or ASCP or equivalent certification, full-time employment.
