My name is Jolene Kubat and I manage the Outpatient Surgical Services at Rio Grande Hospital. My husband and I moved to Monte Vista in 2006 and I have worked at RGH since we arrived in the San Luis Valley. I graduated from Nebraska Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Omaha, NE in 1977. As a new Registered Nurse, I worked one year in a Intensive Care Unit. I have worked the last 32 years in the Operating Room, of which 26 of those years I worked in the Operating Room at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, NE. I love taking care of surgical patients. The entire Operating Room staff here at Rio Grande Hospital works very hard at making our patients’ surgical experience positive and as stress-free as possible.
