Certified Hyperbaric, Wound Care Tech (full-time) Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm. Performs Hyperbaric treatments, – Performs patient care in outpatient wound clinic. Responsible for rooming of patient, vital signs, wound measurement and pictures, proper documentation and knowledge of LUVO, dressing changes and knowledge of wound care supplies. Ability to communicate/collaborate with nurses and physicians regarding wound care and patient needs. Performs skills/services according to accepted procedures. Certified or eligible to test for Certified Hyperbaric Specialist or equivalent, need to have taken the ATMO Hyperbaric Medicine Team Training course and successfully passed the post test for course completion; and you have to have a primary license (EMT-B, RN, LPN, EMT-P).

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Hyperbaric Medicine Team Training course, Current Colorado Certifications EMT-B, EMT-P, RN, LPN ( one of these required, RN preferred).

Equipment Knowledge: Excellent Computer Skills, Hyperbaric chamber use and safety, Copy Machine and Fax Machine, Printers, Electronic Health Records,

Experience: Must have experience in medical/surgical or gerontology, wound care and Hyperbaric chamber oxygen treatment; or must have a willingness to learn skills required in those areas. The HBO technician must be able to communicate patients’ needs and relate information to the Charge Nurse/Physician.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must have verbal skills to present information and ideas essential to supervisory duties and to understand general wound care practice; capable of dealing with people and working closely with patients; workable knowledge of safety procedures; must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language; must have patience and enthusiasm as well as the willingness and ability to handle difficult situations with good judgment; must be able to work as a team member; must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures and regulations pertaining to Critical Access Hospitals or a willingness to learn.
