Nurse Intern (Del Norte – hours vary) The nurse intern works alongside a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse to provide quality, safe nursing care to patients while under direct supervision of licensed nursing staff. The nurse intern must have successfully completed Fundamentals of Nursing curriculum in an accredited nursing program in the state of Colorado.
Current BLS certification, actively enrolled and in good standing in an accredited nursing program in the state of Colorado. Basic computer skills including documentation in electronic medical records, working knowledge of patient care monitoring equipment, IV pumps and other basic patient care equipment. Prior CNA or EMT experience is preferred but not required.
Excellent communication skills and customer services skills are a must, capable of working closely with patients; workable knowledge of safety procedures; must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language; must have patience and enthusiasm as well as the willingness and ability to handle difficult situations with good judgment; must be able to work as a team member; must be willing to learn.
Education: High school graduate and Proof of enrollment in an accredited nursing program (in the second semester or beyond- has successfully completed Fundamentals of Nursing)
