Director of Spiritual Care (full-time) The Director of Spiritual Care will actively nurture the wellness of patients and staff, particularly pertaining to their relationships to self, family, other close connections, and their understanding of the divine or sacred.

Basic competency with Microsoft programs required. Experience with standard charting programs preferred. Experience providing spiritual care and overseeing religious spaces, preferably in a medical or caregiving environment. Must have the verbal skills to present information and ideas essential to supervisory duties and to understand general Spiritual Care theory and practice; capable of dealing with people and working closely with patients; workable knowledge of safety procedures; must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language; must have patience and enthusiasm as well as the willingness and ability to handle difficult situations with good judgment; must be able to work as a team member; must be willing to learn.

Candidate should have a basic understanding of the most prominent religious expressions of the region including Protestant and Catholic Christianity, Mormonism, atheism and agnosticism. The ability to administer pastoral care in both English and Spanish would be ideal but is not required.

Education: MDiv, MA in Pastoral Care, Counseling, Psychology, or equivalent required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: 4 units of CPE required; ACPE Educator Certification, or the ability to obtain certification preferred. BCC Certification preferred. Good standing with an authorizing religious tradition required. Must pass a background check.
