PM Cook, RGH Dietary (full-time) 10am-6pm,  sometimes 1pm-6 pm: Industrial kitchen. Assisting AM cook with prep for lunch if needed, help prepare food for the following day’s lunch, prepare dessert for the following day’s lunch, work with AM cook to assemble and prepare patient trays, after lunch, clean and sanitize dining room tables, counters, microwave, vending machines, check in with nursing station for admittances/discharges to have accurate patient count, set up dinner patient meal trays, prepare and cook patient dinners, take  and record  food temperatures on patient menu form, work with dietary aide to load patient trays, record patient meal count, ER trays, guest trays, etc on count sheet, clean and sanitize utensils, plates, sinks, counters,  iced tea container, set up iced tea for next day, record dishwashing temperatures on dishwashing log, lower dietary gates, clean and sanitize dishwashing station, drain dishwasher, record temperatures for fridge, freezer, juice fridge, take care of trash, shut off lights and lock up freezer, fridges and doors. Education: HS diploma or equivalent

Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities understanding general dietary practice, capable of dealing pleasantly with people and working closely with patients, workable knowledge of safety procedures, kitchen equipment, be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language, must have patience and enthusiasm, patience to handle difficult situations with good judgement, must be able  to work as a team member, must be willing to learn For more information, call Cindy at  719.657.1628 or email  cindyn@riograndehospital.net.
