Licensed Physical Therapist or Physical Therapists Assistant: (Monday-Friday/willing to negotiation 5 8’s vs 4 10’s) in Del Norte: Seeking Physical Therapist to provide skilled Physical Therapy to a wide variety of patient populations including but not limited to acute inpatients and swing bed patients on the hospital floor, outpatients in orthopedic, emergency room and cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation. Directly responsible for evaluation and examination of aforementioned patient populations, development of evidence based plan of care, timely completion of defensible documentation and discharge where applicable. Therapist will be tasked with patient and family education regarding home exercise program and family training where necessary.

Seeking PTA with aforementioned skills in patient treatment and management of a wide variety of patient populations. Including but not limited to inpatient acute, outpatient, athletes, ED and orthopedic. Willing to work under supervision of multiple Physical Therapists and follow established Plans of Care. Provide evidence based treatments and complete defensible documentation in timely manner. Knowledgeable, willing to learn and be part of a group of therapists dedicated to the patients whom we see.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: CPR, BLS, Individual must have an active Colorado Physical Therapy or Physical Therapist Assistant license.

Equipment Knowledge: Great computer skills, ability to use TENS, laser and ultrasound machine, traction table and exercise equipment ( weights, cable machine, rowing machine, bikes etc) copy machine, fax machine, AED, EKG equipment and basic understanding of cardiac rehab equipment.

Education: High School Diploma, Bachelors degree and Physical Therapy degree or PTA degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program or Physical Therapists Assistant program. Preference of Doctorate level degree for PT but will consider MsPT.

Must have verbal skills to present information and ideas essential to supervisory duties and to understand evidence based Physical Therapy practice; capable of dealing with people and working closely with patients; workable knowledge of safety procedures; must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language; must have patience and enthusiasm as well as the willingness and ability to handle difficult situations with good judgment; must be able to work as a team member; must be willing to learn.

Individual must have the necessary skills to evaluate (PT only) and examine patients in the inpatient, outpatient, cardiac rehab and emergency room settings. Must have the knowledge and skill set to communicate findings of the examination to patients and work with the patient to develop an appropriate plan of care (PT only). Knowledge of safety and warnings most specifically in cardiac rehabilitation and emergency room with relative comfort with initiating and participating in a Code Blue if necessary. Individual must have working knowledge of common diagnoses that they may encounter both in acute inpatient hospital and outpatient orthopedic settings necessary for autonomous practice. Understanding and ability to speak and write the English language. Individual must be motivated, enthusiastic and willing to work as part of the greater Physical Therapy team to expand the reach of our department and provide high quality evidence based care to all patients.
