DEL NORTE— In a community meeting May 22, Rio Grande Hospital CEO, Arlene Harms, was recognized by the San Luis Valley Behavioral Health Group for her dedicated service to the communities of the San Luis Valley. Harms has gone above and beyond the norm, and that which is expected, to truly understand the needs of the communities the Rio Grande Hospital and Clinic services. She and her staff, have innovated creative solutions and interventions to issues that have plagued rural Colorado’s healthcare system. Harms has become a champion of community collaboration to improve awareness of local issues, and as a community find and develop the solutions.
